1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Align Studio website and when you talk to us about a project before a signed project agreement is in place. Align Studio is a two-person design and development studio in Indonesia, run by Stevani and Gerald. By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. Using this website

You are welcome to browse, read and share links to our pages. Please do not:

• use the site in a way that breaks the law or harms other people;
• try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site;
• copy large parts of the site, or scrape it automatically, to republish elsewhere;
• present our work, words or designs as your own.

3. Our content

Unless we say otherwise, the text, design, code, illustrations, images and articles on this website belong to Align Studio. You may quote short parts with a credit and a link back to us. For anything more, please ask first. Logos, brand names and trademarks of our clients and of other companies belong to their owners.

4. Client work in our portfolio

The client projects shown on this site are published with our clients' permission. They remain the property of those clients, together with their brands and content. Please do not reuse them. If you are a client and would like a project changed or removed, contact us and we will take care of it.

5. Working with us

This section covers the time between your first message and a signed project agreement.

• Proposals, quotes, budget ranges and timelines we share are estimates. They are not binding until both sides agree to them in writing.
• Every project gets its own written agreement covering scope, price, payment schedule, timeline and who owns the final work. If that agreement says something different from these terms, the agreement wins.
• Until the agreement is signed and any first payment is made, either of us can decide not to go ahead, with no obligation on either side.
• We keep the ideas, files and information you share with us confidential and use them only to prepare your proposal or project.
• Ownership of the work we create for you is set out in your project agreement. Until then, early concepts and drafts remain ours.

6. Information on this website

We work hard to keep this website accurate, but its content, including our blog articles, is general information and is provided "as is". We do not promise that it is complete, current or suitable for your situation, or that the site will always be available and free of errors. Please do not rely on it as professional advice for your business.

7. Links to other websites

We link to other websites, including WhatsApp, client websites and sources we cite. We are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Align Studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit, lost data or business interruption, that comes from using this website or relying on its content. For paid projects, our liability is set out in the project agreement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indonesian law.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If a disagreement comes up, we would first like to talk it through and find a fair solution together. If that does not work, the dispute will be settled in Indonesia, unless your project agreement says otherwise.

How we handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top. Changes do not affect a project agreement that is already signed.
